A normal winter, on average in both temperature and rainfall, was followed by a mild but rather rainy spring, which provided the best conditions for the development of the bunches. The summer months were dry, particularly July. In August and September, temperatures were within the average and precipitation was scarce, optimal conditions for the health of the grapes. The first bunches of Syrah and Petit Verdot were harvested starting from August 29th, in optimal weather conditions. The harvest concluded on September 17th with the Nero d’Avola bunches. The excellent uniformity and degree of maturation of the grapes resulted in a high quality harvest, yielding extremely elegant and concentrated wines.
