Technical sheet

2008 was an exceptional year featuring an annual weather pattern that had incredible consequences for grapes. The winter season was characterized by periods of widespread instability. The summer months elapsed with stable and low rainfall. The middle of August has featured average temperatures that were lower than the average of the period due to strong temperature fluctuations that persisted until the first week of September. These conditions, combined with an absence of significant rainfall and low relative humidity, have resulted in a exceptional ripeness of grapes with an accumulation of coloring and flavoring of the highest quality. The harvest was completed September 21 with the Nero d'Avola. The wines are characterized by a large concentration in color, aromas and tannins that are very fine and silky.
